Our take on Pull Stay
The premise frames the attackers as people concerned about Susumu, but the described play turns those encounters into a defense challenge that ends when they reach him. The listing also connects the setup to the creator’s own experience as a shut-in, making that personal context part of the game’s framing.
What is Pull Stay?
Pull Stay combines beat ’em up combat with tower defense.
As a guardian robot, protect Susumu, a shut-in, from enemies trying to reach his home. Fight with your fists and learn new moves by smacking different enemy types, or place traps to stop attackers. The gadgets include a baked-fish missile, a toothpaste turret, and a watermelon bazooka; 15 types can be unlocked. Break into neighbors’ houses to collect resources for traps or new rooms. Susumu can make power-up items, and the game also includes bosses whose tactics must be countered. If an enemy reaches Susumu, the game ends.
