Our take on Public Defense Corp
Rather than centering only on mech battles, the game combines urban combat with corporate publicity, sponsorships, and public reaction tracking. The damage caused during missions becomes part of the campaign’s management layer, adding civic and financial concerns to a conventional revenge-driven RPG structure.
What is Public Defense Corp?
Public Defense Corp is an RPG set in Japan in the year 20XX, where Haruka joins the Toyokumo public defense corporation after her hometown is destroyed.
Players pilot the Takefutsu mech through urban battles against agents of the secret society Jakou, choosing from multiple weapons while trying to limit damage to buildings and infrastructure. Defeated enemies provide parts for upgrades, including stronger armor and new special attacks. Between missions, the corporation needs funding and public support, which Haruka gathers through interviews, television appearances, product advertising, and sponsors. A social media app tracks reactions to her activities and progress through the story.

Public Defense Corp compared to similar games
Public Defense Corp combines mech combat, enemy-part upgrades, urban destruction, and public-relations activities. Back to the Dawn focuses on investigating and escaping a maximum-security prison, while Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition centers on exploration and an unconventional story in a strange city.
