Our take on Proverbs
Rather than moving through a sequence of compact boards, the game makes one enormous mosaic its entire structure. Its puzzle-solving convention is extended into a long visual reconstruction, with proverb scenes emerging gradually from the grid.
What is Proverbs?
Proverbs is a casual puzzle game built around one enormous grid of more than 54,000 pieces.
Its rules combine picross with Minesweeper: numbered clues from 0 to 9 show how many light tiles belong within one square of each clue. Completing sections gradually reveals more than 100 illustrations based on 16th-century Dutch proverbs and idioms from Pieter Bruegel the Elder's painting Netherlandish Proverbs. The game offers dozens of hours of puzzle solving and more than 90 achievements. Players can listen to their own podcasts or music while playing, or use the included Renaissance soundtrack. The structure centers on a single large mosaic rather than a collection of separate puzzles.

Fantasy Girl is also a puzzle game, but it presents 12 character illustrations as jigsaw puzzles, including five with Live2D, while Proverbs uses one 54,000-plus-piece grid with picross and Minesweeper rules. The other listed games focus on shooting, running, rhythm matching, or AI-world simulation rather than image assembly.
