Our take on Project TERRA
The defining structure is its cast of robots with different jumping abilities, making character choice part of how players reach areas and solve platforming puzzles.
What is Project TERRA?
Project TERRA follows Raka, an exploration robot separated from their companions after the colonization ship TERRA crashes on an unfamiliar planet.
The journey combines platforming and puzzle-solving in a 2D pixel-art setting. Players travel through seven worlds, each introducing two mechanics alongside environmental challenges. Raka’s robot companions have different jumping abilities, so reaching certain areas requires choosing the appropriate character. The game connects reflex-based movement with problem-solving as Raka searches for their friends and investigates the planet’s hidden mysteries.
How Project TERRA plays
- 01Seven Distinct Worlds
- The journey spans seven areas, with each one adding two mechanics and new puzzle situations.
- 02Robot-Specific Jumps
- Different robots can reach different locations because their jumping abilities vary.
- 03Puzzle Platforming
- Progress combines environmental problem-solving with timing and movement challenges.
Project TERRA compared to similar games
Project TERRA combines 2D platforming with puzzles and character-specific jumping, while Jusant centers on climbing a tall tower, managing stamina, and choosing routes. The other listed alternatives focus on shooting, running and shooting, or RPG-style storytelling rather than this puzzle-platforming structure.
