Our take on Primordian
Rather than placing action in a familiar setting, Primordian builds its adventure around the first planet, a permanent division between darkness and light, and an eclipse that temporarily connects them. Its story also withholds explanations, replacing direct exposition with gradual discovery and personal interpretation.
What is Primordian?
Primordian is a VR action-adventure set billions of years ago on the first planet, where one side remains dark and the other stays in light.
During a rare eclipse, Grygor travels from the dark side to destroy temples of light and open passage for his people. The story mode leads through a vast, twisting landscape filled with creatures, characters, secrets, and an ancient civilization. Close-range melee combat is paired with organic weapons resembling pistols, crossbows, and grenades, alongside stranger forms of equipment. Food gathered from unusual fruits, creatures, and other sources fortifies the journey. The story reveals the laws and history of both sides gradually, leaving some conclusions to the player.
How Primordian plays
- 01VR Melee Combat
- Close-range fights pit the player against a variety of creatures.
- 02Organic Arsenal
- Weapons include organic versions of pistols, crossbows, grenades, and less familiar forms of equipment.
- 03Eclipse Setting
- The story takes place during a recurring eclipse that lets beings from the dark side cross into the light.
- 04Food-Based Fortification
- Strange fruits, creatures, and other edible items provide fortification during the journey.
- 05Gradual Storytelling
- The ancient narrative unfolds slowly and leaves room for personal interpretation.
