Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy exploring and collecting materials in areas opened over time
- Crafting fans interested in potions that affect combat, movement, and access to new places
- Players who want to combine gardening, food preparation, trading, and dungeon exploration
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking direct weapon-based combat may hit a wall because the protagonist is described as not being a fighter and relies on potions in battle
- Players looking for a narrowly focused activity may find the mix of gathering, crafting, gardening, selling, and exploring too varied
- Players who prefer realistic settings may not connect with the spooky forest, monsters, ghosts, and magical potions
Our take on Potion Paws
The bounce point comes when monsters appear: the protagonist is not a fighter, so combat relies on potions that can be drunk or thrown. Players expecting direct fighting may hit a wall when they need to use potion effects instead.
What is Potion Paws?
Potion Paws combines exploration, crafting, gardening, and dungeon diving around a run-down house in a spooky forest.
Gather plants, monster parts, crops, and other materials, then use a cauldron to make potions or prepare foods for sale. Potions can be consumed or thrown, with effects such as shrinking, changing speed, damaging areas and monsters, or summoning a ghost. They can also open routes into otherwise inaccessible spaces. Sell extra goods to a merchant for coin to buy recipe books and expand nearby land. Clearing fog reveals additional areas containing ingredients, creatures, secrets, recipes, and other materials to collect.
