Our take on POPUCOM
Color is the central constraint: switching hues and firing matching gel affect both the environment and enemy encounters, linking puzzle-solving with combat.
What is POPUCOM?
POPUCOM is a multiplayer platform adventure for cooperative play.
Players explore an unknown planet, face enemies, and solve puzzles by working together. Color switching activates mechanisms, while shooting different colors of Pomu gel changes surroundings and affects enemies. Match-3 shooting is used to tackle challenges in combat and puzzle sections. Players also collect super artifacts, each granting an ability for dealing with obstacles or puzzles. The game includes a Closet where gear and cosmetics can be combined into different looks, plus an arcade room with mini-games between the main stages. Its play combines cooperation, platforming, color-based puzzles, enemy encounters, and optional arcade breaks.
How POPUCOM plays
- 01Color-based shooting
- Different gel colors alter the environment and affect enemies, while color changes also activate puzzle mechanisms.
- 02Super artifacts

- 03Closet cosmetics

- An in-game arcade room offers short diversions between the main stages.
