Our take on Polyology
The store presentation gives substantial space to the soundtrack and technical extras, while the core purchase is a focused block-pushing puzzle game. Source and asset access may matter to tinkerers, but it does not expand the underlying puzzle structure.
What is Polyology?
Polyology is a spatial puzzle game in which numbered blocks combine when pushed together.
Two blocks bearing 2 vanish on contact, whereas a block marked 3 requires two matching companions. Across 60 levels, additional block rules and environmental conditions create varied challenges that call for planned movement and lateral thinking. Players can reverse actions to recover from mistakes. A star-based scoring system sets a more relaxed target for casual play and a tougher one for experienced puzzle fans. Vector-based rendering supports display at any resolution. The package includes materials for examining or modifying the game, including its programming and art files. Graeme Norgate and Ross Tregenza composed the soundtrack specifically for Polyology.
