Our take on POLARIS™
The focus on four-player PvE extraction limits the experience for players seeking a solo campaign or a wider range of modes. Its emphasis on combat and destructible environments leaves less room for quieter activities outside the battlefield.
What is POLARIS™?
POLARIS is a cooperative PvE extraction shooter for teams of up to four players.
Each match sends the group into an open environment to fight the Regime, destroy enemy infrastructure, and extract. Players can fly, use abilities, operate vehicles, and deploy weapons across destructible cityscapes. Walls and terrain can be broken to create routes through the level, while combat changes the environment during each session. The game focuses on team-based guerrilla warfare rather than a live-service structure; it is planned as a complete experience at launch, with possible bug fixes and balance changes afterward. The launch version supports Windows PC, while Steam Deck support is described as a possibility for a later point.
How POLARIS™ plays

- 05Windows PC launch
- The stated launch operating system is Windows PC; Steam Deck support is a possibility for later.
POLARIS™ compared to similar games
POLARIS centers on four-player cooperative PvE extraction, destructible environments, flight, vehicles, and attacks on enemy infrastructure. Abyssus also offers multiplayer shooting with friends, while its description focuses on hand-crafted levels, roguelite play, and weapon modifications using ancient technologies. Jusant focuses instead on climbing, stamina management, exploring different routes, and a meditative journey up a tower.
