Zombies from different eras and dimensions enter through time portals, sending waves against the player’s defenses. Gameplay includes boarding doors, finding escape routes, retreating, counterattacking, and building the house into a fortress. Weapons range from machetes to flamethrowers, with options to craft weapons and ammunition from scrap, customize guns, and apply upgrades. Levels contain hidden rooms, resources, and secrets connected to a time machine. Stronger enemies appear as unique bosses, requiring players to study their weaknesses and change tactics. The game uses pixel-inspired, old-school FPS visuals and includes skins, including one provided through the DLC Starter Pack.
