Our take on Picnic Peril
The relaxed presentation, cute food cast, and picnic setting understate the tactical demands. Later maps become more complex, and the game includes 44 levels with distinct objectives, terrain considerations, and star ratings rather than only light, decorative challenges.
What is Picnic Peril?
Picnic Peril is a turn-based strategy game about protecting a picnic from rapidly growing ant hordes.
Players place and combine food characters to distract, delay, defend against, or otherwise impede the ants, using each character’s special ability and the surrounding terrain. The game contains 44 levels across picnic environments such as cherry trees, lavender bushes, and wheat fields. Each stage presents its own objectives and map layout, with later areas requiring changes to the chosen strategy. Ten or more food characters can be unlocked, including characters that use ink or daze ants. Levels include star ratings, while mouse clicking and dragging controls actions. Relaxing music accompanies the tactical gameplay.
