Our take on Phoenix Force
The dramatic challenge framing draws attention to reflexes and mythological enemies, while the practical limitation is the narrow structure: each stage is a boss fight, weaker enemies are absent, and one hit can end the player’s attempt.
What is Phoenix Force?
Phoenix Force is a shoot-'em-up in which phoenixes battle powerful creatures from mythology across more than 100 stages.
Each stage centers on a boss fight, with rapid encounters that call for strategic play and quick reactions. After meteors leave Earth in ruins, Fury, the first phoenix to return, finds it overrun by monsters and brings together Cryo, Tupã, Gaia and Gast. The five phoenixes journey across the continents to defeat the bosses in 100 battles.
Foes such as a scaled fire-breathing beast, an enormous watching eye and a death-bringing figure attack with fireballs, lasers and sickles. There are no lesser enemies between players and the bosses, and a single hit can be fatal. Combat focuses on dodging dense projectile patterns and defeating each opponent in a fast fight.
