What is Bot Gaiden?
Bot Gaiden is a speed-focused 2D platformer starring ninjabots Robyu and Bytron.
Players race through stages to reclaim golden skulls held by six hench-bots, choosing the order of boss encounters. Reaching each destination quickly matters because bosses become stronger over time. Taking damage removes skill gears, while keeping them increases movement speed; fast finishes provide upgrades such as Triple Jump, Super Drill, and Glider Bombs. The game includes Casual, Normal, Hardcore, and Ludicrous difficulty settings, single-hit kills, unlockables, and no hidden areas. Cooperative play supports two players with partner teleportation, recovery assistance for the trailing player, shared skill gears, and BotSwat, which launches a partner as an invincible fireball.
