Players looking for combat may bounce when they discover that no enemies can hurt or kill Romulus. Those expecting a purely narrative adventure may instead hit the farming and home-design loop, including resource gathering, crop care and livestock management.
What is Pax Romana: Romulus?
Pax Romana: Romulus combines role-playing and adventure with a fictional retelling of the Romulus and Remus myth.
Players explore an open ancient world containing forests, rivers, towns, farms, caves and temples, while meeting mythological and original characters. Decisions influence whether events are tragic or humorous. Romulus must manage hunger and energy, though the world has no enemies that can injure or kill him. Resource gathering includes wood, stone and plants, which can be used to create items. Home and farm development includes selecting from more than 100 objects, planting and watering seeds, harvesting crops, and purchasing livestock to feed and use for products. The game also includes quests and items described as receiving continuous additions.
