We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy focused paranormal observation and anomaly-spotting tasks
- Players looking for a 45–180 minute horror game with a defined eight-round structure
- Solo players who prefer monitoring a confined apartment rather than exploring a large environment
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat, character progression, or a broad exploration map may find the surveillance-based structure narrow.
- Players wanting long-term replay systems may find the 45–180 minute session format limited.
- Players who prefer forgiving observation tasks may find the battery limit and lock losses demanding.
Our take on Paragnosia
The fixed camera track concentrates the game on careful observation, but gives up free movement through the apartment. That trade-off keeps the task focused on spotting anomalies while limiting exploration and direct interaction with the haunted spaces.
What is Paragnosia?
Paragnosia is a paranormal observation game set in an apartment.
From a surveillance room, move a camera along a rail through the rooms and rotate it through 360 degrees to search for anomalies. Photographing an anomaly exorcises it, while the camera’s battery limits observation. The night consists of 8 consecutive rounds, with different anomalies appearing in each round. Missed anomalies remove locks from the protective seal: one lock is lost for every missed anomaly, and at least one of the 6 locks must remain until 8am. Losing all locks ends the attempt. A session lasts between 45 and 180 minutes.
How Paragnosia plays
- 01Rail-mounted camera
- The camera travels through the apartment on a fixed track, allowing rooms to be observed from the surveillance room.
- 02Anomaly photography
- Taking a picture of a paranormal anomaly removes it from the apartment.
- 03Eight-round structure
- Each round introduces another group of anomalies, and the night ends after 8 consecutive rounds.
- 04Protective seal
- The seal begins with 6 locks, losing one for every anomaly missed between rounds.
- 05Battery limitation
- Camera use is constrained by a finite battery during each attempt.
