Our take on Pandemic Train
Instead of placing survival management in a static settlement, the game makes a steam train the central base and ties continued movement to vaccine research. Its resource decisions also include assigning scarce medicine among crew members, making population management part of the journey.
What is Pandemic Train?
Command a crew and passengers aboard a steam-powered train crossing a war-torn wasteland after a deadly epidemic.
Pandemic Train combines survival, roguelike, and strategy elements. Explore ruined areas, gather scrap and other resources, fight bandits, and keep the train supplied. Food can be grown, livestock bred, water collected and purified, and ammunition produced. Supplies are limited, requiring choices about distribution, including who receives scarce medicine. Train configuration can be changed by adjusting the number of passengers and attached cars. The central objective is to create a vaccine while keeping the train moving and giving scientists time to work. Crew members may die during the journey, while hostile survivors and wolves add further threats.

Pandemic Train compared to similar games
Pandemic Train combines a mobile train base, plague research, resource production, and crew management. Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days centers on guiding zombie-apocalypse survivors to safety through shelter survival, crafting, and scavenging, while Until We Die focuses on defending an underground subway base for about 30 game days. Quasimorph uses high-stakes roguelike missions, corporate contracts, and extraction-based progression rather than train travel and vaccine development.
