StrategyIs Orbius worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Casual players who enjoy pursuing high scores through repeated runs
- Puzzle-game fans who want a matching-orb mechanic with changing hazards
- Strategy-minded players who enjoy choosing between increasingly difficult effects
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed, low-pressure puzzle format may hit a wall when score-based spell choices increase the difficulty.
- Those wanting a narrative campaign or broad progression may find the repeated high-score runs limited in scope.
- Players who dislike managing orb placement alongside explosions and forced destruction may not suit its later runs.
Our take on Orbius
The bounce point arrives when scoring starts adding constraints rather than simply rewarding merges. Players who prefer predictable board management may stop at spell selection, where larger orbs, explosions, and required removals can disrupt an established setup.
What is Orbius?
Orbius is a casual roguelite game focused on achieving a high score.
The player can drop four orbs of varying sizes. When an orb touches another of the same type, they form a larger orb and increase the score. As the score rises, the player chooses between spells that make the game harder. These spells can enlarge orbs, trigger explosions, or require existing orbs to be destroyed, giving each playthrough different conditions.
How Orbius plays
- 01Orb merging
- Matching orbs create a larger orb when they touch and increase the score.
- 02Difficulty spells
- Rising scores lead to choices between effects that make continued play harder.
- 03Changing playthroughs
- Orb enlargement, explosions, and forced destruction alter the conditions of each run.
