Our take on NORSE: Oath of Blood
Rather than limiting the campaign to battlefield maneuvers, this tactics RPG places a growing Viking settlement at the center of progression. Villager assignments, trade, crafting, alliances, and building upgrades sit alongside battles, making community stewardship part of the route to vengeance.
What is NORSE: Oath of Blood?
This turn-based tactics RPG follows Gunnar, a young warrior exiled after his father’s death.
Rebuild a settlement from a small camp into a stronghold by assigning villagers to work, managing supplies, and improving buildings. Recruit fighters, train them, customize their equipment, and develop abilities suited to different tactical roles. Battles use positioning, elevation, flanking, terrain, and environmental dangers, while each warrior brings distinct skills to the field. Scavenge, trade with allies, and collect materials for weapons and armor. Upgrading the smithy, armory, and workshops provides access to further equipment and units. The story centers on alliances, community management, and Gunnar’s pursuit of the man responsible for destroying his home.
