Our take on Nightmare
Rather than following a fixed horror campaign, the game reshuffles item locations, enemies, and optional activities between runs. Its roughly 30-minute structure turns survival into repeated attempts, while Expert Mode changes the central rules instead of simply raising enemy strength.
What is Nightmare?
Nightmare is a single-player survival-horror game set inside a bad dream.
The objective is to awaken by exploring the environment, finding items, and combining them into light sources that raise sanity. Other objects can provide protection against nearby ghosts. Each game lasts about 30 minutes, with item locations, enemies, and optional activities changing between games. Progress grants experience and Light Tokens, which can be spent on perks. Enemy AI becomes more aggressive and can summon helpers as the game advances. Expert Mode changes the core mechanics and logic, making the escape depend on reflexes, speed, and nerves.
