Our take on Neocense
Instead of treating adventure as a single-world journey, the game makes realm switching part of exploration, puzzle solving, rituals, and combat. Its story also places spirits and grief alongside the investigation of identity and buried history.
What is Neocense?
Explore the 2D isometric world of Cha as Amori, a character who can enter both the Realm of Living and the Realm of Passing.
Switching realms is used to solve puzzles, perform spirit rituals, and fight the Hunters through puzzle-based combat. The story follows Amori’s search for the truth about her identity and the buried history of Cha, including the Hunters Army. The game presents 20 unique scenes, a soundtrack, and story elements focused on spirits, grief, and hidden history. It was created by students and built in Unity.

Neocense compared to similar games
Neocense combines 2D isometric exploration, realm switching, spirit rituals, and puzzle combat, while Jusant centers on climbing a tall tower, managing stamina, choosing routes, and uncovering a bygone civilization’s secrets. Both pair exploration with puzzles and narrative discovery, but their core interactions differ: Neocense uses alternate realms and rituals, whereas Jusant uses climbing tools and traversal.
