Our take on Navicula Meatus
This adventure removes a standard genre aid: human language. Instead of relying on readable explanations, it presents cryptic puzzles through an obstructive interface and places exploration in a town whose surroundings can change between playthroughs.
What is Navicula Meatus?
Set in a crumbling settlement of shadowy lanes, throbbing veins, soft organic growths, and unusual residents, the game combines exploration with environmental puzzles.
Players investigate damaged buildings, meet the inhabitants, transform into a crustacean, and move through meat-based grid structures. Enigmas appear through a cumbersome interface, while ordinary human words are absent. The world’s delicate bonds may alter its deformities across multiple runs. Among the encountered characters is the Flute Boy, a street child whose tunes accompany time spent in the town.
