Is MythForce worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Fans of first-person action who want combat built around swings, spells, and strikes
- Players who enjoy replayable dungeon runs with changing encounters and objectives
- Small groups seeking cooperative fantasy adventures for up to 4 players
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed, linear dungeon campaign may find the changing-run structure repetitive
- Those looking for a low-action adventure may not prefer its focus on frequent combat, traps, and enemy encounters
- Players wanting a single predefined protagonist may not prefer choosing among four class-based heroes
Our take on MythForce
MythForce departs from the usual fantasy adventure structure by presenting its dungeon as a series of changing attempts rather than one fixed route. It also combines first-person combat with a Saturday-morning-cartoon style and class-based skill-tree progression.
What is MythForce?
MythForce is a first-person roguelite adventure set in a cartoon fantasy world inspired by Saturday morning cartoons.
Players choose Victoria the Knight, Rico the Rogue, Maggie the Mage, or Hawkins the Hunter, then explore an ever-changing dungeon filled with treasure, traps, enemies, and encounter objectives. Each attempt includes leveling, magical artifacts, upgrades, and skill-tree choices that shape a hero’s playstyle. Elemental status effects can be combined during combat. Players can face the dungeon alone or join a co-op group of up to 4 players. Runs include objectives such as destroying Crystals, placing the Medallion, and discharging the Relic while the heroes oppose the vampire lord Deadalus.
How MythForce plays
- 01Four playable heroes
- The roster includes a Knight, Rogue, Mage, and Hunter, each offering a different class identity.
- 02Skill tree progression
- Players can tailor a selected hero toward brute force, finesse, or arcane mastery.
- 03Changing dungeon runs
- Each attempt presents a replayable keep with treasure, traps, enemies, and encounter objectives.
- 04Elemental combinations
- Elemental status effects can be combined to shape battle strategy in solo and multiplayer play.
- 05Four-player co-op
- The dungeon supports solo play or cooperative groups of up to 4 players.
MythForce compared to similar games
Abyssus also combines multiplayer action with a roguelite adventure, but centers on shooting, hand-crafted levels, and weapons modified with ancient technologies. MythForce instead uses first-person combat, hero classes, skill trees, elemental effects, and changing dungeon objectives, while also supporting solo play.
