What is Mysterious Space?
Mysterious Space is a side-scrolling rogue-like shooter set in the ZZ-Omega sector.
The objective is to travel deep into the sector, recover important information, and return safely. Progress requires stopping at planets to locate fuel, while enemies must be defeated with weapons, armor, shields, and accessories generated during play. Planets can include forest, desert, ice, and lava environments. The game also includes unlockable ships and ship upgrades, plus local cooperative play for as many as five players. Alien Artifacts and Advanced Technology create uncertain effects, such as repairing armor or scrambling sensors for 10 seconds. The soundtrack was created by DDRKirby(ISQ).
