Players who want exploration without lasting consequences may bounce off the decision points: the game frames incorrect choices as capable of destroying the civilization at its center.
What is Myst V: End of Ages?
Myst V: End of Ages is a point-and-click adventure set in the final chapter of the Myst saga.
The story follows an explorer entering a broken empire, where decisions can determine whether its civilization survives or is destroyed. Exploration takes place across 3D environments through a mouse-based interface with multiple interaction options. A slate provides a way to communicate with strange creatures and alter elements of the world. Characters appear with facial mapping intended to convey emotion and expression. The game is presented for both longtime Myst players and newcomers, and was developed by Rand Miller and Cyan Worlds.
