Our take on Murderous Muses
Rather than presenting one fixed mystery, the game reshuffles the case for each run and builds its investigation around a scarce question-related resource. Its gallery exploration, filmed scenes, puzzles, and collectible room combine several adventure structures instead of following a purely linear FMV format.
What is Murderous Muses?
Murderous Muses is an FMV adventure about solving the unsolved murder of artist Mordechai Grey.
As the gallery’s night watch, players explore Gallery Argenta over three nights while questioning suspects, unlocking police interviews, and deciding how to spend the scarce Eyes of Mordechai resource. The murder mystery changes on each playthrough, with a procedurally generated gallery and shareable seeds. Puzzles open bonus treasure rooms, while a persistent trophy room stores collectibles. The game includes more than three hours of filmed footage, six portraits and suspects, final score cards, and run times. Its setting extends beyond the gallery to Mirlhaven island.
