Our take on MotorSport Revolution
The focus on solo, physics-led racing gives up multiplayer competition and broader management systems. Its Early Access beta format also places the emphasis on driving mechanics and track challenges rather than a fully expanded surrounding game structure.
What is MotorSport Revolution?
This racing title draws on classic console games and Le Mans-style competition.
It offers a standard display and native Oculus Rift DK2 support, with a VR-oriented menu for cars and race information. Drivers select from more than 20 production-class vehicles, each with distinct performance characteristics, and progress through five performance classes across 10 racing locations. Adaptive opponents identify driver weaknesses and pass at key points on the track. An optional guide marks the quickest route around each course.
Collisions cause real-time vehicle damage, which can send a car to the pits. Its physics-based driving emphasizes learning courses, refining racing lines, and avoiding crashes that end a race. Controls include a keyboard, Microsoft 360 Wireless Dual Stick Controller, and Logitech force-feedback wheels such as the G25 and G27. This release is an Early Access playable beta.
