Our take on Mortal Vessel
The defining mechanic is possession: the hero can replace the current body with a creature vessel, bringing that creature's skills and progression into battle.
What is Mortal Vessel?
Mortal Vessel is a dungeon-crawling, turn-based RPG set in Elynovia, a cursed land inhabited by undead, demons, and other creatures.
The hero can possess different bodies, with more than 10 playable creatures offering distinct skills and upgrade paths. Battles use a fast-paced turn structure without random enemy encounters, and both sides are animated during combat. Enemies and the player have elemental strengths and weaknesses. Some dungeons generate changing events, monsters, treasure, and traps. The game includes over 50 monster types, over 80 skills, and over 80 items. Skills can be upgraded, combined, or used as ultimate abilities, while each playable creature has its own skill tree.
