Our take on morphe
Its focus on calm audiovisual composition leaves little room for conventional challenges, combat, or goal-driven progression, making the experience more like an interactive music environment than a traditional game.
What is morphe?
Morphê is an ambient music-making game set across winter, desert, and alpine mountain environments.
Exploration reveals mysterious obelisks that activate more than 200 musical elements, along with cassette tapes containing field recordings and environmental objects that can be added to the music. Tracks created in the game can be recorded to a computer for later listening. Players can also import custom audio into the game. When left idle, Morphê functions as an ambient music visualizer, pairing its music with minimalist scenery. The game includes secret features and locations that the vendor says are planned for future updates.
