Our take on Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth
Adventure games often send players through unfamiliar worlds, but this one makes early winter awakening the central disruption. Instead of treating the setting as a backdrop, it uses Moomintroll’s isolation, new friendships, and acts of kindness to shape the journey.
What is Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth?
Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth is a story-driven puzzle adventure set in a winter-covered Moominvalley.
After waking from hibernation earlier than expected, Moomintroll finds himself alone in an unfamiliar landscape shaped by the Lady of the Cold. Exploration takes him through the valley, nearby forests, and mountains, where he meets familiar and new characters. Quests and puzzles provide the main activities as he assists others and faces the challenges of the cold season. The journey focuses on friendship, community, and confronting fears, while presenting a new interpretation of Tove Jansson’s Moominland Midwinter. It is a standalone spiritual successor to Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, and both games can be played independently in either order.
