Our take on Mommy
Instead of centering the adventure on exploration alone, Mommy combines platforming-style travel with coin collection, short mini-games, avalanche sequences, and a shop tied to home restoration. Its story also uses a child protagonist searching for family and missing locals.
What is Mommy?
Mommy follows Toby after a meteor storm causes the inhabitants of Sweet Country to disappear.
He leaves a cave to search for his mother and the missing tribespeople while attempting to restore his home. The game includes 40 levels across three worlds, boss encounters, three avalanche sections, a wizard, and a teleportation potion. Coins gathered during the adventure can be spent in a shop to repair the home. Randomly appearing PCs contain two mini-games that also provide coins. The presentation uses pixel art, hand-drawn comics, and atmospheric music. Gameplay includes simple controls and a stated moderate difficulty level.
