Our take on Mislight
The game replaces the usual weapon with a magical flashlight that serves as the protagonist’s main means of fighting shadow creatures. That same tool also connects combat, character growth, and access to puzzles during the forest escape.
What is Mislight?
Mislight is an adventure platformer with RPG elements.
A girl is seized by a shadow creature and brought into its forest realm, where she must find a way out. Her magical flashlight is her primary weapon against the creatures there. Combat includes shooting, dodging, and countering attacks filled with projectiles. Defeated foes drop Light Drops, which can be spent on items, upgrades, and costumes or used to grow stronger.
The forest has five areas, powerful enemies guarding trapped children’s spirits, and hidden pages that shed light on events before the girl arrived. Newly gained abilities also let her solve puzzles along the way. As she searches for an escape, she learns what happened to her long-missing sister and investigates her disappearance.
