Our take on MIRAY

The bounce point arrives when a mistimed key press removes a life. With only five lives and repeated timing demands, players who want forgiving inputs may stop at the first sequence of missed slopes rather than reach the save-point system.

What is MIRAY?

MIRAY is a rhythm game with a ping-pong-like presentation.

A ball travels between sloped surfaces, and the player presses any key when it reaches a slope. Pressing at the wrong time removes one of five lives. Diamond-shaped notes act as save points: after all lives are lost, the game resumes from the most recent point. The game currently contains 16 stages for timed play.

How MIRAY plays

01Timed Ball Bounces
Each stage requires key presses when the moving ball reaches a sloped surface.
02Five Lives
An incorrectly timed input removes one life from the player's total.
03Diamond Save Points
Losing all lives sends the player back to the latest diamond-shaped checkpoint.
0416 Stages
The current game includes sixteen stages to complete.

MIRAY compared to similar games

Intralism is the closest listed alternative: it also focuses on rhythm timing, but uses music-driven arc matching and includes beatmap creation and online multiplayer. MIRAY instead centers on timing key presses as a ball reaches slopes, with five lives, diamond checkpoints, and 16 stages.
