Our take on Metal Gunner
The bounce point is defense mode, where robots attack from every direction and the objective becomes sustained base protection. Players seeking slower exploration or less combat repetition may lose interest when the game shifts into repeated defensive battles.
What is Metal Gunner?
Metal Gunner is a VR action game about fighting robot enemies with interchangeable weapons.
Its single-player campaign covers five mission planets, where players eliminate robots, recapture planets and bases, and defeat a final boss. Completing a campaign mission opens a related defense mission: robots attack from every direction, and the base must be protected until all enemies are removed. Practice mode covers robot movement, jumping, basic operation, and weapon attacks. Five weapons differ in power and firing rate, while ammunition appears randomly when enemies are destroyed. Four difficulty levels are available, with stronger enemy groups at higher settings. The game supports Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Xbox controllers.
