Our take on MerFight
Its defining structure is a 2.5D fighter with 12 sea-life-inspired characters, combining simplified attack inputs with optional traditional sequences for special and super moves.
What is MerFight?
MerFight is a 2.
5D fighting game built around 1-on-1 battles between 12 sea-life-inspired fighters. Combat includes simplified inputs for special and super attacks, while traditional input sequences offer another way to perform them. Pop Cancels can extend combos or create an escape from unsafe situations, and Guard Popping lets players roll away or push opponents back while blocking. Players manage two energy types to use super moves and earn Pops. Modes include local matches against friends or AI, online ranked and casual matches with 16-person lobbies, tutorials, training tools, arcade play, character-specific combo challenges, and block-and-punish exercises. Story Mode gives each fighter branching paths, while Replay Mode lets players review recent matches.
