Our take on Memory Traces: Egypt
Rather than using puzzles as a standalone abstract activity, the game ties each repaired object to an archaeologist’s recovered memory. Its structure replaces a conventional sequence of unrelated jigsaws with a three-phase Egypt setting and a gallery of restored recollections.
What is Memory Traces: Egypt?
Memory Traces: Egypt is a 3D puzzle game about San, an archaeologist undergoing hypnotic regression to recover lost memories.
The Egypt setting presents fragmented artifacts as memory traces. Players assemble pieces into pitchers, statues, sarcophagi, and other objects across 25 levels and 3 phases. The game includes 3 Egypt-inspired scenes, 25 artifacts, and more than 1000 puzzle pieces. Pieces can be held and rotated while searching for the correct angle, with A and D used for left and right rotation. Restored memories can be viewed in an in-game gallery. The central task is to repair every artifact and reconstruct San's memories.

Fantasy Girl is also a jigsaw puzzle, but it centers on completing character images, including 12 girl illustrations and 5 with Live2D. Memory Traces: Egypt instead uses 3D artifact restoration across 25 levels, with a memory-recovery narrative and an in-game gallery.
