Our take on Memory Fragment
The premise foregrounds Roid’s journey through childhood memories, while the playable structure centers on simple object-repair puzzles and short item-based mini-games. Players expecting a detailed repair simulation or a larger adventure may find the scope narrower than the story framing suggests.
What is Memory Fragment?
Memory Fragment follows Roid, a small-town repairman who discovers an old polaroid album in a barn.
The pictures lead him through memories of growing up with his grandfather, who operated a repair shop. Players restore objects linked to Roid’s childhood, including a toy train, skateboard, game console, glasses, and piano blocks. Repairs use tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and glue, with simple puzzle mechanics rather than detailed technical procedures. Completing an item unlocks a mini-game that tests the repaired object. The game also includes piano-block assembly, allowing players to play from sheet music, and a retro game available after rebuilding the console. Repaired objects add pictures to the album as Roid’s past unfolds.
