Our take on MEG 9: Lost Echoes
The vehicle-centered design trades character variety for focused control over weapons, defences, and upgrades. The current release also favors three scenarios and wave modes, with the final story version reserved for a stated future plan.
What is MEG 9: Lost Echoes?
Pilot a remote-operated Rig through the Probability Aperture and the darkened Horizon research complex.
The current version contains three scenarios and wave-based flashpoint modes, while the vendor plans to assess interest before continuing with a final story mode. Battles involve selecting engagements, choosing loadouts, building defensive structures, and upgrading the Rig’s components. The vehicle can carry three weapons and one defensive module, with nine upgradeable defensive parts available. Salvaged resources can be used to construct sentry guns, proximity mines, energy walls, and additional deployables unlocked during progression. MEG 9 retrieves artifacts and interacts with access points, including doors and basic machinery. The main hostile threat is the Corruption, which transforms exposed equipment and power sources into bio-mechanical creatures.
