Our take on MEAT
The day-and-night cycle connects time to both task availability and opponent levels, making the clock a defining part of exploration and combat.
What is MEAT?
M.
E. A. T. is a pixel-art RPG set in a horror science-fiction version of late-nineteenth-century Canada. Sir Culligan, a Civil War veteran and mine owner, investigates Telestarion, a substance affecting people and objects in the town of Washagami. The open world lets players decide where to go, while a day-and-night cycle changes task availability and opponent levels. Dialogue choices influence how the story unfolds. Missions, defeated opponents, and training provide experience, alongside statistics-based character development. The game includes a network of skills, weapons, items, and different opponents. The main story takes at least 10 hours, with additional tasks, free roaming, and New Game+ available.
