Our take on Mayor May Knott
Songs are part of the progression system: records played on the Edjukebox teach the cooking and crafting recipes needed to help ghosts move on.
What is Mayor May Knott?
Mayor May Knott follows a timid girl who unexpectedly takes charge of a haunted settlement.
May explores the town, restores damaged structures, tackles puzzles, enjoys minigames, and encounters strange inhabitants. A device called the Ectophone allows her to converse with spirits and help them recall their identities. Found records can be played on the Edjukebox, where each performance reveals a cooking or crafting recipe. May prepares the requested items for ghosts, receives their home keys, and offers those homes to monsters as places to live. Since the monsters keep routines that change with time and location, some encounters require careful timing. Bringing in residents gradually unlocks more activities, challenges, minigames, and locations while the deserted town grows into a community.
