As the nation’s immortal ruler, the player commands heroes in battle and manages the succession of their bloodlines. Heroes can marry, producing children with randomized traits inherited from their parents. Characters age and eventually die, requiring an ongoing rotation of imperfect fighters. Fallen heroes may leave behind relic weapons that can be transferred to another member of the same house. Strategic choices extend across generations: decisions made years in advance shape which children mature into future soldiers and how the nation’s forces develop over the course of the war.
