What is Mars 2030?
MARS 2030 is a virtual reality simulation centered on exploring Mars as an astronaut.
Players travel across 40 square kilometers of terrain, collect geological samples, and examine them at a habitat base using a geolab workstation and VR microscope. The landscape is modeled from NASA Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter HiRISE satellite data. The simulation includes changing day and night colors, weather conditions, atmospheric pressure, and Martian gravity. Motion controls support equipment operation, rover use, and terrain navigation. Interactive music and directional sound form part of the experience. The game can also be played without VR and is available on PC for HTC Vive and Oculus headsets.
