- Players looking for combat-centered gameplay may find the emphasis on traversal, mail, items, and objectives limiting
Our take on Maria the Witch
The game gives up straightforward movement in favor of an awkward broom-control challenge. That design makes repeated attempts part of progression, but it can make traversal demanding for players who expect direct character handling.
What is Maria the Witch?
Maria must recover mail that Zaki and Mia have scattered across different magical worlds.
Players control her broom, cross magical portals, face cute enemies, locate items, and complete tasks in each level. Coins can be collected to buy checkpoints. Items provide different abilities: the hourglass allows Maria to go back in time and retry without losing items or restart from checkpoints; the chest prevents collected items from being lost; the compass locates items; and the magnet attracts distant items. Progress depends on repeated attempts to control Maria’s clumsy broom, gather mail and coins, and complete the objectives required to earn all three stars in each level.
How Maria the Witch plays
