Our take on Iron Wings
The campaign framing covers multiple wartime locations and a continuing pursuit, but the core experience remains an arcade flying shooter. Equipment choices and pilot commands add tactical decisions without changing that action-focused structure.
What is Iron Wings?
Iron Wings is an arcade WWII flying shooter centered on two pilots, Jack and Amelia.
Players control both planes, switch between them during missions, and direct one pilot toward selected targets. Each aircraft carries different tools, including chaffs, a Magnetron, a photo camera, and a search light for radar countermeasures, reconnaissance, and night operations. Missions combine aerial and ground objectives with additional side tasks, requiring choices about weapons, equipment, and target priorities. Camouflage affects visibility and enemy damage. The campaign follows the pilots from a New York fund-raising event into Operation Husky and other wartime locations, including Sicily, Naples, Poland, and Germany, as they pursue General Adler and the Ahnenerbe.
How Iron Wings plays

- 03Camouflage choices
