Our take on MareQuest: An Interactive Tail
The store presentation leads with an expansive mare-themed story and broad claims about choice, friendship, and endless possibilities. Much of the additional mechanical detail belongs to Filly Fiasco, a separate game within the package, so the main adventure and the added mode should not be treated as one uniform structure.
What is MareQuest: An Interactive Tail?
Create and customize a mare while exploring a story-focused visual novel with RPG elements.
Meet, talk to, and befriend mares, respond to situations through choices, and pursue different outcomes as the story develops. The game includes character relationships, a mare-centered setting, an original soundtrack, and objectives ranging from cheering up sad mares to saving maredom. A separate in-game adventure, MareQuest: The Filly Fiasco, adds point-and-click exploration, eight skills, minigames, puzzles, alchemy, language learning, and a repeating-day mystery. Its Random Mare Generator changes locations, ingredients, puzzles, dialogue, and mare characters between play-throughs. A character from the earlier Mane Story can also be loaded when that game's good ending is available in the Mare Gallery.
