Our take on Mago
The defining premise is a sorcerer rescuing a princess after eating the evil Gourmet’s food, with the quest moving through platforming levels and occasional mecha sections.
What is Mago?
Mago is a 2D platformer about a sorcerer who sets out to rescue a princess after eating food prepared by the evil Gourmet.
The journey crosses hand-crafted levels in varied areas, including a prairie, a giant tree, and ruins carried by a huge bird. A magic wand can purify enemies and affect the surroundings to solve riddles. Some levels also let the sorcerer pilot a mecha. Levels contain enemies, bosses, secret locations, and secret orbs; collecting the orbs unlocks items and improvements. The town of Musicalia offers a place to take a break, buy upgrades, and meet characters. The game also includes mini-games and a soundtrack.
