Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a broad, exploration-heavy adventure may find the repeated survive-until-boss structure narrow
- Those who prefer relaxed pacing may hit a wall during continuous flying, dodging, and shooting
- Players looking for a large cast of playable characters may find the focus on Rhana limiting
- Players seeking a multiplayer action game will not find that format here
Our take on Magic Frog
The bounce point arrives when survival cycles start repeating: players must handle flying, obstacle avoidance, enemy attacks, and upgrades before reaching each boss. Anyone looking for a slower school-life adventure may lose interest at the first sequence built around lasting through an entire day.
What is Magic Frog?
Magic Frog follows Rhana, a magic student transformed into a frog after a failed spell, as she travels by broomstick through Lunaria, a magical school on a floating island.
Each stage covers one day split into morning, afternoon, and night. Rhana must survive all three cycles before confronting a boss and advancing. At the beginning of each cycle, abilities can be improved in a shop. Gameplay combines flying, obstacle avoidance, shooting, item collection, and movement challenges. The game includes more than 8 projectile types, over 15 character upgrades, several enemy types, and bosses with distinct personalities. Rhana and her companion Goop explore the school while seeking a way to undo the spell.

Magic Frog compared to similar games
Magic Frog combines runner-style movement, shooting, item collection, and upgrade choices across daily stages that end in boss fights. SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER also mixes running, jumping, dodging, and shooting, but its description centers on a chicken saving the world rather than a frog apprentice progressing through a magical school. Magic Frog uses cycle-based ability upgrades, while SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER mentions a main game mode and additional emotes.
