Our take on Mad Streets
Rather than centering on a conventional solo beat-'em-up progression, Mad Streets frames its fights as party modes with shifting objectives, tournaments, and customizable match rules. Its physics-driven brawls also make thrown objects and opponents part of the combat.
What is Mad Streets?
Mad Streets is a physics-based party brawler set at Gutsford University, where players choose among the Jocks, Punks, and Rich kids.
Fights can be played solo or with up to four friends, locally or online. Combat includes targeting body areas, combining buttons for attacks, using special moves, and throwing objects or other characters. Mad Rush strings together fights and objectives, with faction stories to unlock; solo players can recruit 3 AI companions. Random Matches mix fights with quick objectives and end when a player reaches 5 points.
Rumble is a tournament without objectives, while One Punch gives each bout a single decisive strike. Stadium mode lets players revisit objectives and special fights. Matches can be customized with different judging rules, locations, and a referee.
