StrategyIs Lupinball worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Small groups seeking short, chaotic multiplayer matches
- Players who want local and online arcade competition
- Streamers whose audiences can participate through live voting
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a calm or predictable sports game may find the accelerating projectiles and escalating arena chaos too frantic
- Those looking for a substantial solo campaign may find the single-player offering limited to score attack
- Players seeking realistic sports simulation may not fit the werewolf combat and fantasy arena format
Our take on Lupinball
The focus on escalating multiplayer chaos leaves little room for a structured solo progression path. Outside the score-attack mode, the main format is competitive survival, so players seeking a campaign or broader single-player variety give up that scope.
What is Lupinball?
Lupinball is an arcade deathmatch for 2 to 4 players, playable locally or online.
Players control werewolves, collect power-ups, and fire magic projectiles across themed arenas. Fireballs continue bouncing from walls and accelerate as the round progresses, turning the match from dodgeball-like exchanges into a bullet-hell scramble. A shield can reflect incoming shots and stun opponents. Item crates provide effects such as blocking other players from powering up, teleporting across the arena, or inverting the screen.
Stages include settings such as a haunted house, wind-swept farm, and fire-filled warehouse, each affecting play. The last surviving wolf wins. A solo score-attack mode includes a leaderboard, while multiplayer wins also contribute to leaderboard placement. A Twitch extension displays a live scoreboard and supports viewer voting.
