Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking deep combat systems may bounce off the focus on chopping, recycling, and environmental puzzles.
- Players wanting highly competitive or endlessly replayable gameplay may find the structured puzzle campaign limiting.
- Players looking for a serious environmental drama may not fit the game’s quirky animal cast and comedic tone.
Our take on LumbearJack
Players looking for layered combat may hit the wall when progression centers on manipulating scenery, processing discarded material, and solving environmental puzzles instead of building a conventional fighting system.
What is LumbearJack?
Play as Jack, a bear carrying an axe and trying to restore damaged natural areas.
Cut through machinery and other human-made objects across forests, construction sites, and additional settings. Puzzles use surrounding objects and environmental interactions, requiring players to manipulate the world rather than only follow a fixed path. Recovered waste can be processed for recycling and used to improve Jack’s chopping abilities. Animal companions join the effort after being rescued, contributing to the campaign against Evil Works, an industrial company pursuing plans that threaten nature. The game combines environmental puzzle solving, object destruction, recycling, and cooperation with a cast of woodland characters.
