Our take on LostWinds
The store copy gives equal weight to wind powers, platforming, combat, puzzles, and exploration, but does not clarify how much of the adventure each activity occupies. The concrete scope is a focused quest through Mistralis rather than a broader account of progression systems.
What is LostWinds?
LostWinds follows Toku, a young boy tasked with helping release a curse placed on Mistralis by the spirit Balasar.
Enril, a wind spirit under the player’s control, can produce effects ranging from strong tornadoes to gentle breezes. These powers guide Toku through the game’s regions, support jumps and gliding, affect enemies, and contribute to puzzle solving. The adventure combines platforming, exploration, enemy encounters, and puzzles within a fantasy setting. Its central gameplay idea is directing wind to influence Toku’s progress through Mistralis and advance the quest against Balasar.
